Paint questions

1- What colour is this car? Sunburst red or Carnival red?

 

And whats the best colour of primer to use under red paint white or red?

I was told white

Doesn't look like sunburst to me, did they do Mk1 in sunburst ?

 

As for primer it depends on the colour really.

 

I used to paint for Ford/Jag and on of the Jag colours used red primer, red base coat and a red tinted laquer, it was very red !! Where as ford radiant red got grey primer and clear laquer.
