Tony has said this in jest but personally I think it's not an unreasonable suggestion, i.e. rewarding feature car owners with something to show a magazines appreciation for the owners efforts?

The mag makes money on the back of features about cars that owners have put a lot of time, money and effort into preparing / restoring. What's wrong with offering a little reward for their toils?

No offence to your car tony, and it is a lovely car, one of my faves...

but its amazing what a shiny paint job can do!

 shit---- thats what im missing!

like i said, nice car as are all feature cars.

sadly though they are missing a huge fleet of real street driven fast old fords... maybe there is a gap in the market for a mag featuring exactly those sort of cars, i for one know many that would buy it.

best feature i ever read was a long time ago of an anglia with tatty paint and shit hot mechanicals... yep, someone off this site, like i say a long time ago now.. a propper street driven fast old ford dents and all

whooah hang on, this is the first year out of 10 years ownership that i havent driven the car throughout winter every day of the week come hail rain or snow, so dont go thinking i wrap it in cotton wool

the cortina i had before the capri, rotted away thro salt contamination , its a hundred times worse here on the east coast and thats a proven fact.

Sorry tony, this isnt a dig in any way at you at all, its a lovely car you have there... what gets me is that all they are interested in is shiny paint.

i know of a car that was about to be photographed yet was dismissed and everyones time wasted because of..shock horror...a rust hole in the wing

Would be good to see more rat look cars

on a similar note... Mate of a mates car ( A sweet Xr van with a zvh on carbs, not my cup of tea but alot of graft went into it) was going to be featured by one of the newer ford mags, he was told it would be featured if he ditched the carbs and went turbo
