pccapri Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 I want to get a digital dash from rally design, its made for kit cars etc... but im building a custom dash, i could easily fit it in to the dash but how would all the wires get connected etc.. presumably its made for more modern cars. as things like speedo cable is surely a different fitment for every car? has anyone done one or know how the wiring side of it would work> cheers gaz
ban1216 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 When you buy a digital dash you will find it comes with a universal plug with tails that you attach your wires to and an instruction manual I think as far as the speedo is concerned you will be better of if you use a gearbox with an electronic drive like from agranada or s.i.e.rr.a as this will make life a lot easier Otherwise you will need to fit a speedo pick up ontoa wheel or something I have done it on a bike but it can be a pain in the arse
mk2 stu Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Mate I've got a digidash in mine, I got Kev at WPE to wire it in, but he reckons its very straight forward, Its all pretty clear on instructions, speedo goes to a magnetic sender, i attached to back of hub, rev's gets signal from pulse from HT lead. if your need more help give WPE a mesage on their support page
SmokeEm Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 That's handy... We are at WPE on Wednesday
