ChristophStone Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Just got my insurance all ready, to start on saturday morning - Graham Sykes modified vehicle policy underwitten by N.I.G. £1343 Fully Comp, £350 XS That's for a 19 year old, 0 years no claims, on a mk1 capri 1600xl with: 2.0 pinto engine 5 speed gearbox uprated front discs etc adjustable shockers on the rear front coilover conversion. Give them a try if you're a young'n with a modified car, I was quite suprised . Only thing is, because of the policy, if I want to change cars it has be to another modified car.... oh no
emu Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Me too But if your happy with it then thats the main thing Now go enjoy the car
bigdaz27 Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 the joys of beeing under 25 having your pants pulled down and arse smaked by insurance companys
Fiesta Steve Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 me too lol, glad I'm not that old though
Yeomans22 Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 try HIC insurance or lancaster, im 21 got 3 years no claims on my main car, but 0 on my 2.0 mk3 capri, lancaster £450 third party fire and theft, on my escort £380 fully comp with hic, they do classic polycies for your people.
ChristophStone Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 HIC best price was £2000 TPFT Lancaster wouldn't give me a price. It's beacuse im under 21 with no no claims, and it's quite a highly modified car. the second best fully comp quote for me was £2600... go figure.
Miller Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Yeah its a nightmare, my current policy on my Mk1 was just over £1000 for fully comprehensive - but thats on a hot Pinto engine and running gear mods all declared. My other two escorts are under £450 because they are standard.
