antz Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 I use mintex on my cars. the escort doesnt give off much brake dust but the volvo's wheels have big gaps in them and are terrible for turnign the wheels black.

vibrating_Cake Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 ive had a bit of experience with yellow stuff and green stuff. and found the yellowstuff always had good grip from cold.... and when they got hotter and hotter... they just got better and better whereas the greenstuff pads... their cold grip was a little well, how do i word this, shit. but as they got warmer they did get better, but also, i managed to get brake fade with greenies, with the yellowstuff i couldnt for the life in me get them to fade, twice i had the fluid boil on me with glowing red brake disks, and both these times i didnt experience brake fade!!! but, all in all... yellowstuff if you're giving it some!!! if not, i'd stick with mintex cheap and reliable (i have them on the capper atm, brilliant bite from cold and they do fade, but they progressivley fade and tell you before that they are fading before the braking just dissapears and iirc they are cheaper than the greenies and yellows but.... if you're gonna be razzing the mk1 around i'd always reccomend yellowstuff
