I am hoping to do the Modball rally this year so I thought it would be a good idea to get some information on the road laws for the countries it goes through, so I went onto the AA's touring tips and under switzerland it says:

In Switzerland, pedestrians generally have the right of way and expect vehicles to stop.

Some pedestrians may just step in to the road and will expect your vehicle to stop.

 

Now is it just me or should the secong bit actually read;

think its the same on french zebra crossings, you have to step into the road then the traffic will stop, shit me up when we went with skool years ago having to take the first step into the road

thats the same here pedestrians only have right of way if they are "on the crossing" not waiting to cross

same in most countries outside the UK and infact if you did hit a pedestrian in this country irrespective of his 'right of way' youd be lucky to get away with it as a motorist
