Sorry, but im not gonna pay £40 each to get a coilover kit. All it is is some threaded tube, lock nuts and a top spring seat! so im gonna make some anyone got some clear pics or dimention of the kits? Or, even better, where can i get em cheap lol

apparently they dont come drilled so i can drill them wherever i want (they didnt have capri leg to anglia - only capri leg to escort) i got some poly race bushes, 2 inserts (67.50 each) and 2 spring sets (21.50 each) oh and a c-spanner (4.80) so came to roughly 250 - im waiting for my dads bank statement to come though

what springs did u get wessie? im not sure what length/ rating to get im using rs2000 front struts with billies inserts on a mk1 escy.

didnt get any springs mainly cos i didnt know what i needed i was thinking of going about 300 so i can give it plenty of abuse

hmm i was thinkin about that but im jus guessin really lol. and i dont know if it makes a difference if you get longer ones?? maybe jus makes the suspension travel futher

i was going to go with a short hard spring just because i dont want that much travel just for it to handle

i use 250lb 8" long on mine and all seems good.

300 blimey thats a lot dont forget its the insert which controls your performance to hard a spring will bounce all over the road ,ok if the road has no bumps,ive always found that a good insert and a spring say middle range is all that you would require in your car allow the shock to work and it will pump upand go hard so a not to heavy spring required unless say v6 essex lump in a escort hope this helps ,ps a nice short insert is a good idea

Wessie, what's the spec (or going to be) on your Anglia, what with everyone sayiong to go to Miltons, the price of their goodies, although they're the best, are crazy, a grand or more for suspension set up, what with the history anhd a fairly nice little engine and practical runabout decided on going for stiock rebuild and throwing my ideas of a street sleeper down the drain, ah well my other car'll be the beastie. Then perhaps the anglia might fiollow

as much as i want my car to handle, i cannot justify spending all my budget on milton suspension

its gonna be

2.0 DOHC powered, mt75 box, fibreglass flip front, all stripped out racer look, escort x-member, escort steering rack, coilover capri struts, custom prop, possibly a custom manifold (to get more power) im doing it on a tight budget and so-far most of it has cost me less then milton front suspension would cost me
