Hello mate thanks for the reply, i have had the prop checked all is well also had wheels balanced the only thing i can see is the movement in the gearbox "output" bearing as stated above.

Everything else seems spot on, vibration only happens between 65 and 70 mph and then the car pushes through it.

Cheers

Do you have locking wheel nuts on the car?

It may seem a small difference but they weigh more than the standard nuts. It introduces slight vibration on mine between those speeds so I often swap them for two off the rear of I'm driving any distance.

Doesn't sound alot does it? But I once had an Orlon which had a wheel nut missing from each wheel, that was sodding awfull to drive.

BTW, if you had any iffy bearings you would have whining or rumbling coming from the transmission. If I remember correctly, there is some play on this shaft, but when the prop is fitted, it true's everything up

Thanks for the suggestions but all items in those areas is ok, might get the prop rechecked.

Vibration is deff running gear related can feel it through gear stick, could it just be a live with it senario attached to the WCXM ???

There is NO play at all in the engine mounts! hhhmmm

I don't believe so, a wcxm should not introduce a vibration that is speed dependent, mine certainly doesn't. Is it dependent on what gear you are in or is it there between 65 & 70 regardless?

Sounds dumb but never pushed her that hard in 3rd lol, will give it a try see what happens she drives lovely at an other time than those speeds tis very bizarre!!!

What condition are your tyres in? I have had a tyre bulge in the tread before, it's not something you feel at slow speeds, but it sure shakes the car around on the motorway. The tyre in question was a low budget jobbie that was on a Pepperpot I had bought.

Have you got a spare set of wheels you could nail on and go for a drive with? That would then eliminate wheels/tyres.

I had a realy bad vibration when I fitted a recon T5 cossie box to the Corty, it only happened on deceleration, was about to take the box off and spotted a mark where a bit of the box casting had been vibrating against the tunnel, ground the casting, problem solved!
