DanV Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Best ive seen was a mate of mines MK1 Golf who's engine seized on the A1 at Stevenage at about 80mph locking the front wheels!! After looking at it the next day found it had thrown a rod which had punctured the block then the crank came round, hit it, but didnt break it. He has a smart looking C shaped conrod on a plinth in his living room

Superblue76 Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 I'm replacing a snapped camshaft and head on a Porsche Cayman at the mo. Snapped pulling out from a junction, the car has only done 17k and 3yrs old.
