rev counter problem...

hi all,why'd me rev counter on my eccie 'bounce' loads when i'm drivin along, and on tickover...

 

it used to do it on my old counter, which i thought was fecked, so i replaced it! i've checked the wiring, cant see any prob's... it confuses me..

 

any idea's???

i have the same problem on mine and have not found the cause of it to date.....even tapping the dash sets it off

mine dose same thing i thought it was cos of the electronic ignition but did the same when i put the points back in so if you find out let us no i disconected mine cos it pissed me of

mine is the same and i've got the jelly mould ectronic ignition

 

but i'm used to it now

i think they all do it there not exactly accurate,other option fit an afrtermarket one in ,ive seen sum nice ones in pod that doesnt look out of place

mine is an aftermarket one...

Mines flickers a bit when i pop the ignition on and for a moment or two when cars started few bilps of throttle and its settles, thats on a x flow
