When Gary's dad was in a nursing home, his mum (a nicer lady you could not meet) innocently described one of the nurses to me as a 'darkie'. TBH I was a bit gobsmacked, but she really really didn't see the harm in it, and would probably have called it to her face in all innocence had I not politely mentioned you can't use that term these days. Yes political correctness has gone mad. If David Jason had been Asian, would there be cause to complain or apologise?

I dont consider myself to be racist but heres my views. its not ginger its strawberry blonde.....fook off...your ginger. a chinese person is chinese an asian person is asian an american person is a yankee and... how come we are called 'white' when we technically a pinky colour. You buy pots of pink paint in 'flesh colour' not pots of white saying 'flesh colour' some people need to chill out. david jasons joke was only like a blonde joke, irish joke, a joke about sexuality or male or female....get over it and have a giggle. admin delete my comment if you see fit but thats how i feel.

Well I don't think if would matter, and it's more relevant as the person wasn't born here and has learnt English He says he has never banned people from the shop and believes he's highlighting a larger problem. My 85 year old gran is like that, she said once, "whats that mans name who reads the 10 o'clock news, you know the one, the nigger" But she wasnt being racist, thats just how things were back then
