windy Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Can anyone confirm if the details on my paint tin label on the tim I've just bought are correct for a MK2 Escort? Ford Diamond White B/FB 1.2000 MMJ 4310 Reason for asking I'm not convinced this is the correct paint. Looks more like Ermine white to me? I have nothing to match it against so I am not sure if its the right paint anyway.
mk2estate Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 on my rattle can diamond white is EL B 3 FB & it's pretty damn close to the original
ban1216 Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Diamond white comes in a commercial colour as well so you may have that if you look at a transit you will find it is a lot creamier than the car version
FredTransit Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 FB is the paint code for Mk2 transit diamond white.
windy Posted April 11, 2009 Author Report Posted April 11, 2009 Do you know what the paint code is for Diamond white on a MK2 Escort? It looks like I'm going to have to take the paint back then, but I'll need to tell the guy what the correct code is so he doesn't get it wrong again. Cheers
Copey Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 would it be the same as a mk3 capri? i had a tin of Holts Diamond white and it was bang on for my capri, i will go see if i still have it and what the code is EDIT the holts tin code is LF68, dont know if that helps at all?
windy Posted April 11, 2009 Author Report Posted April 11, 2009 OK I got bored so i've put some paint on to show you all. Is this the right or wrong colour?
steve mk2 Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 aparently their are loads of different shades of diamond white im not sure what one mine is
windy Posted April 12, 2009 Author Report Posted April 12, 2009 This paint is bloody weird. I took the tunnel top outside this morning and under natural light it looks white white. So I'm now confused
