Wessie Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 have you found one with 100k on the clock then chris?
slimrs Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 i had an 02 wrx that had done 92k that run fine, but it was regularly serviced. i think if its been looked after, should be fine mate.
RFChris Posted December 14, 2006 Author Report Posted December 14, 2006 chris. stop it ....lets just say the beemer was a mistake. Still...sold at profit!
Admin Vista Posted December 14, 2006 Admin Report Posted December 14, 2006 yeah do tell, what was wrong with it? And Impreza with 100K? don't much like em anyway so it wouldn't be me.
RFChris Posted December 14, 2006 Author Report Posted December 14, 2006 I'll tell all when its gone....Tom knows a bit, but as i said..the full escapade next week. Lets just say i'm currently (Barr Lucie and my darling Laura) having a lifetimes worth of bad luck at present. Chris
Gareth Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Make sure it's had regular cam belt changes Chris, I think its every 40k for a sport and about 30k for turbos, I'm not too sure tho, I'd have to ask my bro for now check out www.sidc.co.uk
Mr Sam Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 oooh scooby estate get a volvo allready safe realiable family cars and they can move if you put your foot down
Wessie Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 like sam said get a volvo and you've got a rear axle waiting in it for your next OSF also they are safe for the little'un
DEP Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Its Jap, so as long as its been looked after, it should be fine
Admin Mk2Jo Posted December 15, 2006 Admin Report Posted December 15, 2006 Mine has got 190,000km on the clock. Has been serviced regularly. Cambelt changed every 3 years (or 45k). Looked after. Allowed to cool down after EVERY run. Driven hard. No worries It had 76,000km on it when I got it almost 7 years ago. Don't forget they are very juicy .... I get 20 1/2 to the gallon on a mixed run (round town/long run).
mk1mexico Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 And the sports are just as bad on fuel. But as long as theyve been looked after there a great motor mate
Mrp Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Had mine about 4 months now picked it up from a main dealer with 61000 miles and got them to fully service and cam belt it for me in the deal. cracking car but not something to have if your on a budget i can just about justify having it as my daily driver returning @23 mpg urban driving and into the 10's if hard Remember to budget for services can be expencive and you wont be changing the plugs yourself on the driveway! When i have i little one i thing a volvo T5 will be in the offing, 5cyl turbo and 245bhp if you find a T5 R Yum Yum .Hope this helps
