Mini's OK? Ever had to try to fix one? Or replace and weld a subframe? Like driving a roller skate too!!

 

Some of the motors were Ok mechanically (1800, 3 litre) but body styling was arocious. I even met someone once who thought ther Allegro Poncess was a good looking motor!!

 

Now, if we go OSR (Old Skool Rover) the P5's were the the round ones...

OSR? would have to be P5B (especially the coupe) and the SD1 both cool motors. Though I did kinda like the P6 too.

 

P.S. Maggie Kicked Arse in the South Atlantic as PM, and all from the back of a P5B, that gets it enough cred alone in my book.

confession - we had a P6 on the road - biggest pile of crap i have every had the pleasure of riding in.

We were driving along after two years of restoration and both looked at each other as if to say what have we done . On the way to Peterborough we saw a mk2 escort that someone had just wheeled out of their shed and was putting up for sale - needless to say we waved goodbye to the rover and still have the mk2.

 

P5's and P4's are cool - simon just bangered a P4 at arena essex last month - they are still proper british beef!

He also has a bit of a soft spot for princess' and allegro's - but they better on the track
