**** Ace 2 Pod Run - Classic Ford Show - Sunday ****

Hi All, *** Updated times ***

 

Im trying to arrange a convoy from the Ace Cafe (London) to Santa pod on the Sunday for the Classic Ford Show for all those who won’t be camping,

 

I’m still trying to sort out times and route, but it’s looking like be at the Ace for 6.30am leave in convoy by 6.40, and get to the Pod by 8 ish.

 

All ideas are welcome, as nothing is set in stone yet

I'd say arrive anytime between 9.15 to 10.15 and you'll hit bulk traffic anyway so what the hell...

ok, well for now lets see how many people are up for it, and then ill stick a poll up and we can all vote for what time we should get there for.

 

i'm up for as late as possible as its the mrs birthday party the night before. but the thought of being in a convoy is enough to get anyone out of bed.

But i would just like to say, that if you are putting your car on the OSF stand, we would really really appreciate it, if you could get there as early as poss please, because we need to arrange the cars in some sort of display, rather than it looking like a car park , So please, if you are arranging a convoy for the sunday, please bear that in mind

So are we looking at getting to the Pod for 8.30? what time do we need to get there for, to have enough time to get the display looking good?

 

Google says it will take about 1hour 20 mins ace - pod, so we can just work it back from there, and if people want to stop half way at the services we need to add a bit of time for that aswell, as i dont think the ace will be open that early in the morning.

 

We mite as well make a list of people who are up for it:

I know its early, but it would really help us out with sorting the stand,

Hi all,

 

ok, so the votes seem to be leaning towards getting there early.

 

Leave the Ace at 6.40am get to the Pod by 8.

 

As for the route its quite simple, go north on the A406 (the main road outside the Ace) till you get to the M1, all the way up for 43 miles then turn off at J14, A509 (12.5 miles) then B569.

 

If anyone knows a better route please let me know.

It would be great to have you guys join us at j12, do you mean the Tebworth, Toddington Services between J11 & J12?

 

Route planner says it will take about 40 mins to get there from the ace and we are heading off at 6.40, so we should be there from 7.20.
