So was that you would or would not want to be at the helm?

Well spotted (and edited) it was wouldn't want to be at the helm. I was recently involved in the construction of a very very powerful and fast yacht, the speed that things can go wrong at when moving over water at that velocity is frightening.

Look foward to seeing that, Donald Campbell was a childhood hero (even though he had been dead for 12 years when I first heard of his deeds). Wonder if it will plane at 100mph?

I very much doubt it would reach 100mph if it wasn't on the plane by then, given it's weight and power, it'll probably be on the plane by 20 or 30 mph

I'm surprised the current record holder did'nt fly.

Ken Warbys fed up nobody is having a go at his record so he's building a new boat to break it himself.

Hopefully project quicksilver will have a go one day
