countrybumpkin Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 i have just fitted me wilwood calipers and green stuff pads to my escort which work superbly apart form the worst squeal i've ever heard from brakes, i have copper sliped the back of the pads, dose anyone know why there squealing so bad? is it just because i've only done a few miles on them and the squeal will go as the bed in?
BIG G Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 leave um to bed in or you can get anti squeal stuff thats better than copper slip from burtons
caprinerd Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 scuff the surface of the pads and see if that helps
Superblue76 Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Chanfer(?) the edges off the pads so your not braking on the very edge of them
RETRO_AL Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 I had them same problem with my willwoods, they were fine when they got warm on track, but driving around town ect they always squeeled
