lotusless Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 i need some help sorting out my exhaust on my daily 16E, it hangs too low + keeps coming loose on the back! its driving me mental. i would go into kwik fit + ask them but they will try + make me buy a complete system or charge me £100 to put a bracket on it. just need someone who is osf freindly + will not ripp me off, i'm just south of croydon in surrey so somewhere close to that would be great. thanks
escortmad4eva Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 Hi mate i work in a garage in woking surrey and my boss is a shit hot at fabrication he made an exhaust fit on my mk2 escort and he wont charge you that much too.
surrey_100e Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 i got mine done at longlife, in wallington really good and he is well into old skool fords, he has mk1 escort. Ask for dan, he might be able to sort it out
lotusless Posted June 12, 2009 Author Report Posted June 12, 2009 cheers guys woking is a bit of a slap from here though, i probably only need a back box really would longlife get involved with that or is it not worth them bothering with? thats why i thought of a kwik fit type place but with a freindly face in it
Messenjah Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 theres a guy phillj on Retro rides who makes stainless systems for like £200 but im sure he would sort out your issues too for less and he is in redhill
willsy Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 Go and see Sean at Merit Tyres Bookham mate. He has the white rs2000 estate mk1. S*** Hot with an exhaust mate
Dee' Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 tinos rod n customs in mictham any good for you as he is just down the rd from croydon not got his number on me right now but if you need it i can pm it to you later
lotusless Posted June 13, 2009 Author Report Posted June 13, 2009 ok so today i was out with the mrs + kids + thought i'll pop into one of the standard exhaust places (hi Q) + the bloke just didnt want to get involved with it as i thought but he did shake the bollox out of it for me then on the way home the fookin back box falls right off!! not embarassing much so park up jack it up + try + re-attach the centre pipe + over axle bit. got it on as best as i could (cable ties + exhaust clamp) must admit it sounds nice now with one box but really needs sorting now urgently, as i said this is my daily driver so i cant just park it up + do it another day. so to the guys that replied above messenjah i'll go on RR + pm that guy thanks, twinkle thanks for the offer m8 but i really need the whole system now, + dee do you have a phone number for that rod guy or an address please? thanks again chaps
Mrs O/H/C Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 I would recomend Longlife in Wallington for a stainless system. They are guaranteed for all the time you own the car.
lotusless Posted June 13, 2009 Author Report Posted June 13, 2009 oh i forgot to say i went straight to longlife after i fixed it + the bloke in the garage next door said they are not back till tuesday + i bet they will be mega busy after a break
