mk1super Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 On friday evening i did an oil change, changed the plugs and leads too and changed over me battery, took car for quick spin down the road. Went out to the car yesterday as id left me phone on the passenger seat ( after searching house high and low for it) clicked on alarm fob and nowt I thought oh no the fobs knackered, so ran back into house and grabbed the spare, it didnt work either opened car, alarm didnt go off thought oh no alarm knackered at this point i was starting to flap. So i try and start car, but the fuel pump wouldnt go on I thought thats a fresh battery couldnt be flat so i pop the other one back in and connect it and the alarm goes off headlights go on full beam and near blind me and i hear fuel pump start:oops: I'd forgot to switch the headlights off:oops: The worst part is on friday night i had drove into the garage with lights on full beam covered car up, switched off lights in garage and i didnt even once notice the headlights were on as i tucked the cover on. I felt a right wally!
