Jiffer Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 i'm a partner in a small building company and we are doing a very big refurb to part of a seconary school, over the weekend the electricians were installing new mains cables. recently all to do with europe the colours on 3 phase cables have changed, before blue was a live and black was a neutral, but in their wisdom the colurs have changed so blue is now neutral and grey has taken over from live (the younger sparkys have had this taught from day one but it can still catch out some of the time served). well at exactly 8.50 this morning 26 laptop chargers a burglar alarm panel a fire alarm panel and a server cabinet simltaneously exploded, hopefully the week can only get better.
