Ford Capri 2000 DOHC EFI

Hi , Im Geo and i`m from Bulgaria ... and thats my ride ,actualy it`s my third OSF and i`m gonna say i really love it . So I both it a year ago and i found it like that ...

the price was 1000 euro ... the engine wasn`t in good condition... actualy the engine was 1,6 pinto and i decidet to replace it with something better ...

so next few fotos are when it came in our Ford service(it`s our family buisness, and it`s only for Ford vehicles, the owners are my father and me ... and we are workin in it , btw we are both machine engineers ).

a few months later i started the bodywork , i decidet to do it my self .... with some help from my mates from the Ford Club ...

And the body work is finished ... i painted the engine bay and fit engine and gearbox ... so next week will paint the body and i hope after 2-3 weeks it will be on the road again

this granny is my first car and i still love it

my father`s mk 1 caprii have also a escot mk 1 1300 and i hope i will start restoring it right after i finish my capri ... So i am really glad , that i found this forum and i am OSF fanatic and also Ford fanatic too

what gearbox did you use on the DOHC ?

The gearbox is mt 75 . with custum driveshaft I`m happy you like it

yes there is a small difference of number plates , so today i did lot of work but im exausted now and can`t show any pics yet ... but tommorow will do it

So it`s painted mow but there is a big problem the rubberbands that stay at windows are very old and can`t be used again cause they look now as plastic... that`s not so fantastic , and i can`t find them in bulgaria... and i can`t deive my car because of the rain ... can someone help me with this .

Hello again... bout the reg plates , in bulgaria every car has it`s own reg plate , if you buy a car you can change it , but when you sell it the plate goes with the car , on the first pictures my car capri was with the old generation of reg plates , i buy a new ones , and i wanted exactly this one plate .......... so bout the restoration, i almost finished the car and i drove it 1-2 weeks , then i went to my university ,cause i have exams now so some pics of the car

So hi again , this time not so lucky , a few days ago i was hitted by another car and the mk 3 has some damage , now right after my exams i will fix it again , and some pictures now ...

http://www.vbox7.com/play:00b328f1 so , something new bout my mk 3 , i actualy was on a trckday , on Drcon track here in Bulgaria, and next sunday is the last trackday for this year, and i`m thinking of visiting it, i actualy both the same 2000 dohc engine , but with different pistons , inlet and exaust, and i`m gonna try to run it with turbo charger.
