There was a house on the main road near me called Fforeggub, I'd driven past it many times and had never paid much attention to it, it was only when I parked nearby and saw the sign in the rear view mirror that I twigged it

our house used to be called allendale, apparently one of the previous owners had a son called allen, well fook em, its 67 and staying that way

tell ya what does bug me, I had a call at a house, cant remember the street name lets just say its "station road", so anyways the address says

Tulip cottage

station road

so I am driving up and down looking for it, every other house has a number, and eventually find the house with the name tulip cottage, but he also has a bloody number on it! so if he had given our office his house number instead of telling the office its bloody name.....would have been able to find it in seconds

also came to a house recently called "the wendy house"

the doris was called wendy.......

When we bought our house my wife said we should call it "At Last" after missing out on so many before we got this one.

Freakily the first time we got a BT phone bill in, the house name on the envelope was At Last.

Explain that
