6 cylinder Mk3 Cortina? What lump did these have in then?

i dint think there was one although i may be being thick , i know that at some point in there life they were fitted witted a 6 cyl deisel engine but not many around now , and also the austrailian mk3 was fitted with options of a 3.3 or 4.1 6 cylinder along with the trusty 1.6 and 2.0 versions ........

 

but onhestly im stumped if there was such a thing in england cos i never seen or heard of one

They had 6 cylinder Mk3's in Australia, which I'm guessing is where the adverts from despite the Chumbley Warner accents , not sure what engines they were though, the only 6 pot Cortinas that I know of in the UK were the Geoff Uren cars...

In Aus (which judging by the fact the vid is called TC cortina is where they are from) had a straight 6 and South Africa had the Essex V6 all we got was aftermarket conversion like UREN, Tricentrol or SuperSpeed

Never heard of a diesel before were'd you hear tha tfrom ?
