JAY PS Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Once again the cost of unleaded and diesel is heading for £1.10 a litre ,but the press is unusally quiet . Last time it hit £1 a litre lorries were protesting and the press were on it big time I'm told another 5p in tax goes on soon which will take some garages up to £1.15 a litre which is where we was a year or so ago I think like many others we are being ripped off ,what do you guys think is it time we got a protest together ?
YOUNGY Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 With the recession and everything i think people could do without this, other governments seem to be helping their countries but not ours they just seem to be putting everything up not just petrol which affects everyone especially small businesses and working class which are the back bone of britain, its about time there was a protest about all the price rises, what they done realise is that the more they keep putting things up the more people they are putting out of work.
caprinerd Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 the fuel cost local to me varries between 103 and 106 at the moment but it has only just gone up so the future increase might not affect us but if it does go up any more then one of the cars is going to have to go and it will be the capper as i wont be able to run her on that sort of fuel price
andy a Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 It dont matter what it costs at the end of the day, I live in the middle of nowhere so I got to have it, the price of fuel is always higher in rural areas as well just to twist the knife, my wife works in community health and does home visits, add that to the school run and weekly shopping and the fuel bill for her daily is regularly 70 quid a week plus, add in what I use without the Capri and its about 100 quid
NginEEr Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 it is getting silly over the last week my local has went from 101 to 107.6 and it really annoyed me its ridiculous im asically loosing a litre of £10 theiving scum our government is ridiculous.
evil knievel Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 The station i go to has managed to stay at 102 as far as I know but my local has soared to just above 106 i remember being a kid and it being well below a pound. the thought of pulling up to a petrol station and it being that low seems almost crazy now!
