Went to a local RSOC show on Sunday. Had a great time. See event reports.

Half way back I decided to avoid the ring road back home. Too boring with too many outside lane hoggers doing 30mph. So thought I'd have a dash back through town instead.

So just 1/2 mile into my de-tour, I'm pottering up a wide main road towards the city. Lots of traffic and a steady 30mph.

Suddenly amongst the many cars travelling in the opposite direction is a small blue piece of plastic.

He's slightly wandering a bit over the white line

I'm thinking he must be txting or picking his arse or something.

He'll wake up in a second & swerve back to his side.

Then he's wandering well over the white line

Fooooooooook! The twats coming head on right at me!!:shock::shock:

OMG he's either asleep or tryin to top himself!

This's gonna hurt!!!

Where am I gonna go?????

Luckily there was a bus lane for me to dive into. I swerved out of his way waiting for the bang but praying that he wouldn't go down the side of me.

BANG!!!!!!!

I stopped in total shock & looked round expecting him to be stopped just behind me

The c*nts not there is he

He's woken up and bounced straight back to his side of the road & fooked off :twisted:

I spun straight round and saw him 5 cars infront. He must ave seen/heard me (you'd ave thought the green had just lit at the pod)

Knowing he had NO chance of getting away, he saw sense & pulled over 1/4mile down the road. I pulled along side and I won't bother type next few sentences. I think you'll have an idea what I said to him..

I parked up properly and gets out the car.

"Are you drunk or on drugs?"

No

"Did you fall asleep at the wheel?"

No

"Then what the fu*k where you doing?????"

I had cramp in my leg and was bending down rubbing it.. Thought I was still going in a straight line...

Result, I managed to save the car from being totalled. But I'm still lumbered with this

is that the little twat in the picture with the corsa?

the fact he didn't stop after the accident warrents a trip to the police station maybe?

best to go through insurance, tell them if the paint match isn't perfect they can respray the whole thing.

Ohh fooook that’s nasty. The police should surely do something as he left the scene of a accident. it a amazes me that there so eager to catch u speeding but don’t give a crap when there is a real offence :x

Hope u get this sorted

Hope you can get it all sorted soon! Twice last week I had someone drive at me having crossed the white line, one the lad realised and swerved back onto his side of the road. (I had actually stopped in the middle of the road hoping he'd realise... ) The other one, I had to drive up a bank to avoid him! Both times I'm driving a 4x4 so not exactly difficult to spot.....

Of course having the degree in law you would know that, that is an offence, but sadly you are wrong, if you understand the law, then you would know that you have 24hrs in which to report an accident and that technically he could say that he was on his way to the Police Station to report it........

ouch!

thank god for the bus stop otherwise tht could of been lots worse :sad:

The police can't be arsed to do anythin, thats the problem with most of out cops.

Example: our local police station closes at 7pm, and we have to go throught to a station bout 15miles away, then they come and deal with the problem. I mean, wat kind of police station closes???:roll:

should of said to the copper 'ill take matters into my own hands then, and make the sound as if your cocking a gun  '

yours is such a clean straight car though! still sounds as if it could of been alot worse, why couldnt it of clipped something plastic though

Haha, good idea Sam, I never thought of that! Keeeeeerlick!

Yeah, I was surrounded by plastic (arent we always  ) They'd probably ave bounced like dodgems.

Actually, I'd been alongside a bus for a while before this happened. My witness said that I he'd ave missed me, he'd ave hit the bus head on!!!

Like a lot of laws, I think this one is quite outdated and relies on peoples honesty.

Thing is as well peeps, the Police don't make the laws, so let's not blame them
