Well I dont know, do I??

Positives:

- Easier to remove front suspension without removing engine

- Lower centre of gravity (although perhaps negligible)

- Cooler, much cooler :lol:8)

Negatives:

- Vibration trough the chassis

What else do I need to consider?

I was concerned about vibration when chassis mounting mine but am reliably informed that it's no worse than a world cup X member and I've lived with that ok for years.

Well yeah, now I think about it, a WCXM cant be any softer than chassis rails - so vibration shouldnt be any different...

Think i'm going to do it

Chassis mount is the way to go. done it to my MK1 cortina. No difference in vibration compared when bolted to the crossmember on MK1/MK2 escorts and cortinas. MK3/4/5 cortinas have bushes fixing the crossmember to the chassis so will be a little worse on those but that's about it.
