Went to look at Fiesta today, took me two hours to get there, and two hours back, still, I thought this'll be worth it, I was told it was a tired but solid mkI Ghia, which is perfect (I'd love a Supersport, but cant really afford one). So I get there and it's a knackered late mkII, no rear seats, rust everywhere. The chap who had it thought the mkI/mkII were one and the same, which I guess is sort of a fair mistake to make if you're not well up on cars, but all that way for nothing. :x

Still, the search continues I guess!

I couldn't get any pics as it was with an old boy who's son works with my brother-in-law, it was one of these 'friend of a friend' sort of things. Still, he was very apologetic and made me a nice cup of tea before I left, so it wasn't all bad! The one in the link is a bit beyond my budget, I want something to work on and play with, but thanks for linking it.

I once travled 1 and a half hours to look at a late escort gti which was supposidly mint, saw pics and everything. Got there, took one look at the car, didnt even knock on the door and came home. More bumps, dints and rust than I had on my Mk1 Fiesta when I got it lol

I hate that, you wouldn't have bothered if you knew. Get this all the time with transits, for some reason people often completely miss there was a transit that ran from 1965-1978, meaning they count from the Mk2 and I end up looking at some wedge shaped thing!
