zetecmk2 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 just been to halfords to get a flasher unit..........took me an hour love it!!! everyone get out and drive, it's those conditions where an 1100 is still fun!!!didn't break the speed limit either (sorry daggle , but i know you're out driving somewhere)
SebringRS Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Got mine sideways yesterday comin out of a junction Never knew it could do tht out of my gutless pinto
Slammed Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 OI MODS, WHATS HAPPENED TO MY AVATAR!! i didnt mean it,when i said do your worst
Yeomans22 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 nearly hit a lamppost the other day in my capri, diving it a few revvs out of a junction, done some good drifts in the escort too, but nearly end up crashing so need to take it easy.
2litreScapri Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Yeomans, same here. I've had my Capri about 6 weeks now, & about 2 weeks ago I span it on a roundabout, hit the traffic island kerb as I 180'd. Mullered the wheel & bent something, although the only thing that seems noticeable is the anti roll bar clamp is bent. Drives & steers fine but I can feel some vibration through the floor. So, moral of the story is, take it easy!
sambo Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 If you really want to have fun, hit the brakes as you hit a drain cover on a bend! That will be a rush i can tell you!! did this the other day by acident and was all over the place in the cortina! round a tight bend with traffic coming. poo'd my pants i did
Ste-V Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 That's the best type of sideways, when it isn't expected! Done it myself, there is one grid cover in Blackpool on a corner that used to get me every bloody time I went round in my Cortina lol when it was on road.. Dam things
stevoehm Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 i found one of those grids too and ended up in hedge in the capper lmao
EscortHeadCase Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Its just as bad when your on a fairly fast roundabout with a camber, there was a tarmac change just after one of the junctions and i ended up going down the road at first sideways passenger door forward and then driver door. Was good, but the heart just races when your not expecting stuff like that.
