antz Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 30% is the maximum legal tinting allowed. 70% sunlight must pass through the window into the car. You must remember to compensate for a possible factory window tint. This was covered on a safety awareness day i attended last summer with a local cruise site. The traffic officer attending the day was offering free window tint checks on cars (voluntarily and no prosecutions were made, just advice) A friend of mine put 25% tints on his astra but didnt account for the stock tint on the car which pushed him to 33% tint overall. Oh and limo tints are 85% tint
Fiesta Steve Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 Its got let 70% light through. My Toymota had dark smoke and I got busted by the plod and a fine earlier this year ! I thought they were ok, there little machine didn't agree
