i started off this morning changing a cam belt on a pug 306 D turbo,

crankshaft pulley was well and truly stuck on there so i proceeded to seperate the inner and outer pulley with a screwdriver, then a lever bar and a hammer lol, so i get the outer pulley off to find that ive mullered the inner one with the lever bar! lovely...

i jump in my van (2001 1.8 TDI escort van) and drive around a few car parts places in hastings, no1 can get this pulley. i drive home and my fan belt start squeeling, carried on driving and started smelling rubber burning lol, all of a sudden, something popped and i feel a lot of vibration from the engine through the body.

bien in the mood i was in i carried on, my battery light came on, the squeeling stopped, i looked in the mirror and saw my fan belt chewed up in the road, carried on driving home, open the bonet to find that the alternator has snapped off its mounts and is dangling by the wires...

wish i had never got up thismorning!!
