Mr Sam Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 the rage guys being interviewed on daytime radio then play the choon live and had been asked to play it without the swearing words
antz Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 wtf was the bbc expecting them to do? BUY JOES RECORDS comment was stupid and petty. They really showed themselves up there and have given Rage HUGE publicity because of it. RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE FOR CHRISTMAS NUMBER ONE!!!!
5hane Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 as above "fook you i wont do what you tell me !" what were they expecting?!?!?!
tazrocks88 Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 as above "fook you i wont do what you tell me !" what were they expecting?!?!?!
awesome Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 just listend to that rage song ..if you could call it a song, in the name of free speach that's the biggest load of crap i have ever heard Joe has a fantastic voice and seems to be a nice lad
Chris! Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 just listend to that rage song ..if you could call it a song,in the name of free speach that's the biggest load of crap i have ever heard Joe has a fantastic voice and seems to be a nice lad Totally agree
Stu_B Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 I don't think rage have done them selves any favours by doing a live performance, it did sound a bit swank to be fair!
EscortHeadCase Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 people dont care. I think if theyd chosen sweet caroline instead people would have gotten behind it. All i know is. I want X factor to die. And all those other shows that take up perfectly good prime time slots.
Copey Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 the whole thing is bullshit tbh, Simon doesnt care, he is still makin his money, probably more so as i bet x-factor fans are buyin the single 2 or 3 times anyway to try and beat Rage i downloaded the rage song and cant help but think it was the wrong decision, end of the day the only person that its gonna effect is that Joe lad, he managed to win the xfactor, he deserves something at least. and before anyone has a go, no, i don't support the xfactor, i think its bullshit too, i think its unfair that a small amount of people should get a massive boost up into the limelight while other bands/groups have to struggle through on their own, but thats not the fault of the contestants so seein as i can see both sides i have downloaded joes single to balance out my rage download so i am on neither side i think rage are shite anyways, and the song is utter crap!! and to all the Rage "supporters" "F*CK YOU, I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!"
BIG G Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
baz105e Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 i hate the way x factor gets the christmas number one every year, its like they own the right to the crimbo number one. its about time proper music had the chance !!!! and the song takes me back to my early teens jumpung around like a madman
skatinrocker Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 just listend to that rage song ..if you could call it a song,in the name of free speach that's the biggest load of crap i have ever heard Joe has a fantastic voice and seems to be a nice lad fair enough he might be a nice lad and have a good voice... but if he wins number one this yr then thats the 5th year in a row x-factor have won xmas number one. Its not a proper competition anymore who wins number one. its just like 'oh x factor are gonna win it...again!' its stupid plus rage against the machine have been going since the early 90's and have put so much time and effort into their music. This Joe kid has just appeared on x-factor in 2009 and expects to be christmas number one... The whole point of this rage against the machine thing is to put a point across and make things a general competition. Dont fancy that sh*t known as x factor making number one. I've downloaded rage against the machine and so have all my mates and some of my family and i hope it wins. You may not like them but they are all talented musicians and if you listen to all their albums you will realise this
pauln Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 I don't like RATM (liked the drummer and bass player in Audioslave though) and I don't choose to even know what the X factor is so I will save my money for something I actually like.
awesome Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 just listend to that rage song ..if you could call it a song,in the name of free speach that's the biggest load of crap i have ever heard Joe has a fantastic voice and seems to be a nice lad fair enough he might be a nice lad and have a good voice... but if he wins number one this yr then thats the 5th year in a row x-factor have won xmas number one. Its not a proper competition anymore who wins number one. its just like 'oh x factor are gonna win it...again!' its stupid Why is it stupid Leonna Lewis has gone on to become a world wide super star diden't she win x factor plus rage against the machine have been going since the early 90's and have put so much time and effort into their music. I have been buying music from all types from rock to punk to country for thirty odd years ,and never heard of this group untill now ,so i did check them out and i think i can see why they haven't made it ......thier crap This Joe kid has just appeared on x-factor in 2009 and expects to be christmas number one... Who said he expects a no 1 for christmas The whole point of this rage against the machine thing is to put a point across and make things a general competition. Dont fancy that sh*t known as x factor making number one. So your going by the whole xfactor thing and not by the Singer and song thats like me saying i think Man u are shit........and i can't for that reason like any of their players I've downloaded rage against the machine and so have all my mates and some of my family and i hope it wins. You may not like them but they are all talented musicians and if you listen to all their albums you will realise this Seems like band wagon and i have to jump on it to be cool comes to mind The only reason you should buy music is that you your self like it when you get a bit older and have been listening to all the different styles of music for years. ......you can then think back and think what the fu** did i buy that for Have a look back to before X Factor and see all the records that came no 1 at Christmas............would you have bought any of them , I dought it because most of them were just fun records ,Something most 20 year olds can't seem to grasp Here endeth my rant i'm off to listen to my Vera lyn collection now followed by all the hits by Megadeath i might be old but i still get it sideway's
Stu_B Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 I've gotta say Awesome if you were a teen in the 90's into alternative music RATM were absolutely HUUUGEE. I stopped listening to it years ago & I think its a bad choice to promote against x factor when there's so many current talented bands struggling to get noticed

Mr Sam Posted December 18, 2009 Author Report Posted December 18, 2009 I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more shes a witch with broken arms
skatinrocker Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 Well everyone expects him to get number one and i guess he expects himself to as well being as x-factor have had it for the last 4 years. But ye, i only buy music that i like, i dont do it cos someobody told me to. Its just a bit of a coincidence that ratm are the ones being downloaded to make number one - a band i like. But if you dont like them thats fair enough - at the end of the day music is all opionated. If you say summats shi*t it doesnt actually mean its sh*t, its just your opinion. Like i think that nearly everythings on radio and music tv is absolutely shocking and i wonder how it can be referred to as music. But hey thats just my opinion. Some things like classical i dont really like, but i respect it cos it is music and a lot of though and effort has been put into song writing. And yes, i seriously would buy some of the old christmas songs if i could go back in time to when they were released such as slade etc. I think they're awsome and i do buy humurious/happy songs. Personally, i think that Joe kid has a good voice, but got that song hes released is absolutley awfull!
caprinerd Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 im in my mid 40`s and tbh RATM dont do a thing for me but in the same breath nor does this factor jo bloke so i wont be getting either

Trevmk3 Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 in my opinion the xfactor is just a over hyped karaoke contest, why dont they make the people in the final stages actually try and right a song to perform? if they did that then they would probably get more repect from people for it, but no Mr high trousers is using that jellymould (no not a si3rra ) to sign up someone who can sing someone else's songs RATM
petrolhead Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 just listend to that rage song ..if you could call it a song, in the name of free speach that's the biggest load of crap i have ever heard I completely disagree with this, I thought it was f*cking Superb! It was very ironic, passionate and an excellent performance that made me laugh - no X factor song has ever done that for me (except maybe the auditions) Although I would like to stress I understand that RATM is not main stream and not everyone likes them.
