Can't believe Sir Cliff has stopped releasing a Xmas single, was always number 1 before :mrgreen:

As for the current thing going on, it's a shame it wasn't a better song and perhaps the money could have gone to a kids charity or similar

nothin to do with location glen just cant really see what all the fuss is about if they'd picked a classic sex pistols or motorhead track it might of been a bit more interesting as it is both tracks leave me pretty cold and unintrested

I'd agree with that.

Theres countless fantastic tunes out there much more fitting to be a Christmas No1, instead the nation (or the Retards Club 'it' crowd) have gone out of there way to keep this X factor chap from the top spot by buying a record by an artist on the same label. So all thats been acheived is that Sony have sold a few hundred thousand copies of a 17year old song and a shit load more Xfactor singles to counteract.

Yeah well done kids, really sticking to the man is that

Sorry, but who cares if you all think its the round ones ?

I think xfactor / im a cleebrity / big brother is all the round ones, is that going to stop you all from watching it?

Stop clogging the thread with usless replies, If you think it should have been a diffrent song, why not make your own campaign :?

The fact that there the same record company means nowt, nothing was aimed at simon cowell making bucket loads of money out of the xfactor, it was aimed at the xfactor its self, and that they get the number one spot by defult (what they have done for 5 years)

im glad it went to number 1, aslong as it wasnt a bloody karaoke singer who was there i werent bothered whose track would of been chosen (although i am a rage fan)

I am not a Rage fan, and didn't particularly like the single (which is why I didn't buy/download it) BUT I am glad it beat the X factor single. It's not even about the singer, it's just commercialism that seemed to have the forgone conclusion that the winner will have the Christmas No1. This has proved commercialism wrong, and it's a good thing.

well not really, sony are the winners here

if the myface lot had got behind some talented unsigned musician(s) then yes it would of stuck one to commercialism but as it is i bet sony can't belive their luck :?
