Pipster007 Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 Very cool There used to be an american car dealer in Tolworth many moons ago, Me and my mates always used pop up there on a saturday afternoon wasnt that nearly next door to the Sir Robert Peel strip club?? The one in Tolworth was on the corner of Raeburn and Warren Drive, 'cos I went to the primary school a couple of hundred yards away . There is still a dealership of sorts there, but it keeps closing down and re-opening some months later. We think it's some kind of dodgy tax dealings. I can't remember the one near the Robert Peel, but there was one near the ASDA store near Kingston Hospital
JAY PS Posted December 29, 2009 Author Report Posted December 29, 2009 Blimey ,i used to clean cars once for Jon at Crossways at Tolworth ,used to have some great cars there in the 80s . 20 years on and my mate Simon and a neighbour Chris tried to rent it but couldnt make a go of it ,i was loosly involved in dealing with part exs The reason so many go in there is they think main road and good position but the rent is way too high and with the current climate they cant meet the rent The Amercian Car centre was on London Road next to Shell Garage is also long gone they moved to Castleneau nr Barnes some years back the whole garage is now flats The one next to Robert Peel was many things over the years and is now van rental site These were taken in mid 80s I believe still imports stuff from the states but trades from home as hes semi-retired ,now seen him in years
