Dont get a jeep cherokee as they suck.

:

this man would most definitely disagree with that one.

But beware you will get a lot of the land rover is best brigade.

my dads jeep was terrible offroad. hence why he traded it in against a suzuki jimny. The jeep was one of the few cars he was glad to see the back of.

There are a lot of and rover is best people about. it all depends on what you want at the end of the day and to be honest, i think some people are blinded just because of the land rovers popularity.

british company, army used them, very popular right throughout their life but it doesnt mean they are best...it just means the greatest number of people like them.

I would rather of been in the suzuki jeep on the top gear bolivia episode than any of the other two.

Im very much a suzuki person myself. had an SJ van and loved it. never got it stuck and that was running worn out all terrains on it with the weedy 1.0 litre engine. it wasnt even jacked up.

suzuki all the way for me

my dads old jimny RIP :(

Having seen a friend's SJ after he crashed it and visited him in hospital for weeks on end, I wouldn't have one if it was free and came with a lifetime's subscription to Jugs magazine.

the Jimnys are good in a crash! Well in a roll anyway.

I can certainly vouch for that after last week :lol::(

The fire brigade reckoned he'd have walked away in most other cars. As it was he broke every rib on his right side at least twice, and punctured a lung.

The worse part? After getting his insurance payout he splurged it on another SJ! I suppose if a near death experience doesn't put you off them they can't be all bad...

ive got a landrover 110 with the 200tdi engine ... the best engine if you plan on doing alot of wading !

regularly had water over the bonnet and its got a 2 inch lift and 285/75/16 tyres on it

mods so far

scorpion racing steering gaurd , safari snorkel , rock sliders with tree bars , eezi awn roof tent , 2 inch lift , forward facing seats for the rear and a lockable cubby box for the front middle , discovery transfer box for better motorway cruising speed,

its great fun havent done loads of off roading in it but its great fun and you would be surprised what ittl go up or through :P got it stuck once but that was with all terrein tyres ... got kumho kl71 s on it now and they are awesome im not saying there arent better off road tyres but find a better off road tyre that quieter then an alll terrein on the road and i will take my hat off to you.

landrovers are great offroad and cheap and easy to fix if you dont mind it looking ratty as fook ... lol

for example ...

brand new bumper (trade price) £11 ...

second hand wing with inner wing and light .... £25

good times all round :P

I too have been thinking about doing some off roading ever since i bought my nissan terrano

Its got BF Goodrich nobblys, side steps, bull bars and spot lights and its a short wheel base with full mot and 6 month tax full service history, i paid £600.

It looks pretty mean and the farther in-laws a farmer so ive tested it across his fields for laugh.

I am thinking of whipping the side steps off, fitting a snorke and going propper off road

Heres my above said winter bus
