Slide hammer is the way but with one of my cars years ago i had to put the car on stands, fit an old steel wheel and then lie under the car with a mash hammer and batter the back of the wheel

put and old wheel on a use a ratchet strap that always works keeps the pressure always on but make sure u and everything is clear incase it shoots out

get an old steel wheel bolted on and give it a thwack :thumbsup:

 

That's what we do here, make sure to hit it on different sides of the wheel, not the same spot over and over to get the bearing out evenly

once i stoped chaseing the axle round the workshop it came out real quick cheers guys :thumbsup: tho the diff i pulled out was the same as what i was going to put back in :oops:
