Jiffer Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 I got fed up looking at this 1500 gt pre xflow in bits in my shed so decided to have it done and re-build it, had it re-bored +90, slight polish on the crank and fitted bearings, head unleaded, opened up and polished as much as I dare, time to get the other one out and fit this one
Jiffer Posted January 16, 2010 Author Report Posted January 16, 2010 cheers steve I find it very relaxing working on heads, but am very scared of taking it to far and scraping a perfectly good head, espcialy as pre xflow heads are getting rare. I got fed up with seeing this in bits so got bruv to get it machined and I really looked forward to re-building it, sad I know but I enjoy it

I would sell one of mine, I got two now both 1500gt precrossers but only one car to put them in and its not worth selling as I wont get the money back what I spent having the head and crank done, best I look for another mk1 cortina to stick it in

Toby Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 For any engine this is a great book to understand the subject of tuning. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tuning-Engine-D ... 866&sr=1-1 I personally think it's at least as good, if not better than the Pinto book. Cheeper to!
