Can anyone please help! Im trying to get some insurance for my MK2 Escort it says it is a popular plus on the log book with a 1.6 engine but when i do insurance qoute's that model is not coming up and only comes up as a 1.3.

There for i have to ring up the and tell them about this. The Insurance companys class this as a modified engine and refuse to quote me.

What can i do!!!!! Is there any insurance companys that will insure me????

try adrian flux for your insurance , my anglia has a 1700 xflow and other mods and all you have to do is just list the mods and thay will quote you a premium . i found them cheap and helpful.

if it's says 1.6 on tyhe log book then I guess DVLA know.

My recollection is that there wasn't a 1.6 popular plus from new which means at some point in its life its had an engine swap and IS therefore modified. There are plenty of specialised classic insurers that should be able to help you though.
