johnny_h Posted January 24, 2007 Author Report Posted January 24, 2007 We have a new venue for our cruise! I won't bore you with the details or moan about how Brighton parking offices have messed us about for the past month because we have a new venue which I think pisses all over Madeira drive! Brighton Marina Village! They have agreed to let us end our cruise at this place. There is just enough space to squeeze in 100 osf's. It's awesome and has got everything we need for a top day out. A pucker safe car display area, tons of pubs/bars and shops and even a dock if anyone fancies coming along in their yacht, and PUBS! There is also a multi storey car park which is FREE for anyone not on the list that wants to come along. I took some pics when me and Ian (Driver) met up with the events manager earlier today. There is also a link to the actual Marina site. More details to follow as they unfold! The Ferrari owners club are the week before us These areas will be full of shiny OSF's on July 1st 2007! I thought I would add a link to an actual event at the location. Ignore the naff italian motors. http://www.bmwaterfrontshopping.com/pas ... #1_700.htm

There will be a £1.00 administration fee to cover costs incurred by OSF admin which brings the total cost to £11.00. Admin Mk2Jo Posted January 25, 2007 Admin Report Posted January 25, 2007 We have not yet banked the cheques that people have sent ..... if you have already paid but are not happy about the new venue as originally we were hoping for Madeira Drive ... Please let Johnny know in the next 2 days as we will be banking your cheques after that time and there will be no refunds. I hope you all like the new venue and I'm sure that you will not be disappointed .... it looks fab Any questions, please ask
johnny_h Posted January 25, 2007 Author Report Posted January 25, 2007 I had better just point out the obvious difference between this venue and Madeira Drive because it may concern some members who have travelled a distance to get there. As you can see from last years Ferrari day the cars are all squeezed into the precinct which means if someone in the middle wants to leave we all have to go. No doubt in time we will agree on a finishing time but for now I just thought I had better point that out.
daytona Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 When I stopped over in Brighton last year I parked my car over at the marina. Top venue, I reckon it's only ten minutes walk from the main pier. It has safer parking and plenty of entertainment on had. A thumbs up from me, well done JohnyH team for sorting it out.

We may well have a security guard there too which can be provided by the Marina events people so your cars should actually be safer. It is only a 10-15 min stroll along the front to get to the pier and main town. The Marina has lots of nice shops for the laydees who fancy a bit of retail therapy, loads of nice eating places too and is a fab setting for a Classic Ford meet.. Like Johnny said, please note that once parked up it will not be possible for you to leave "early" (times will be announced shortly, I'm sure)

Capripete Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 There is also a multi storey car park which is FREE for anyone not on the list that wants to come along. Looks like bad news mate.

johnny_h Posted January 25, 2007 Author Report Posted January 25, 2007 i might be interested in trailer parking spaces aswell We've got barely enough space to fit 100 cars Wessie so don't get your hopes up mate. Trailering down race cars is one thing but trailering down a rotten shell is another
johnny_h Posted January 25, 2007 Author Report Posted January 25, 2007 it will be painted ! I was just generalising Wessie!
