Used to be a member but there were never any people or meets up in the north of England, and I could get technical info free from the net. Seemed a bit pointless in the end.

 

Was also a member in thre North East, we had a good regular meet, but the club started to be obstructive when we tried to organise anything and telling us we couldn't do some shows for some reason - insurance was the cry

 

Then they wanted us to pay to run the events at the national show.

Needless to say, that was the end of that

 

Shame really, it was a good focal point and I met some bloody good friends through it. I'd rather spend the cash on the car (its nearly half a tank of juice!!)

I vaguely remember some meets up around Newcastle but there didn't seem to be any in North Yorks or a bit further south. I joined for a year and then that was it. Can't say I benefitted from being a member back then; maybe things have changed?
