OK folks, I know there’s not much goes on in the North East except the occasional Metro meet so let's try and put that right. I’ve just had word from Toby that he's keen to kick off a proper North East Ford enthusiasts monthly meeting starting at 6pm and finishing late on the 4th May so we can to get together to talk about and look at big boys and girls toys

 

There should be a catering van in attendance for burgers etc and we should have no issues from the locals or snotty security guards as it’s being held at Toby’s factory premises (Aliweld LTD).

It's about 45 mins north of Scotch Corner, here are directions from the A1:-

 

Take the exit toward Consett/A694/Newcastle/Blaydon/A695 0.3 mi

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A69 0.2 mi

At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A69/Derwenthaugh Rd

Continue to follow Derwenthaugh Rd 0.4 mi

Continue onto A695/Chainbridge Rd

Continue to follow A695

Go through 2 roundabouts 2.3 mi

At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Stargate Ln 0.1 mi

Turn left 407 ft

Slight left

Destination will be on the right 440 ft

 

So if you have something a bit tasty from the Ford stable or you’re an enthusiast let’s see you there and spread the word.

Shall have a speak to father tonight and see if he is up for it, his MK2 Escort should be on the road by then and my MK1 Fezzy will be.

 

Just not sure whether he will be up for travelling the 85 miles ahead of The Lakes Tour in the Rally Car
