dannyb Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 i'd offer my car but i doubt they had super slammed mk1 fiestas back in the 80's.
FredTransit Posted March 21, 2010 Author Report Posted March 21, 2010 How far is your fez lowered danny?
Tom Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 I'm local to there fred but i dunno if the blue stripes and wheels would be fitting with those times? Also i signed up to your site but never sent you the pics, can i have the email address again and i'll send them over
100edave Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Both of my Escort mk2s would be good for this, im only down the road and they are standard (i have the original wheels as well) cos not every one had Mexicos and RS2000's you know
FredTransit Posted March 21, 2010 Author Report Posted March 21, 2010 This is true, I struggled to find a 'ordinary' Mk1 for 'The Queen'
Mr2Caps Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Can offer you my 1986 laser capri, although it has been destickered and has 16's on it, which I can't put back to standard due to the front brake set up......... also have my Mk2 which is a 1978 Ghia pic below! Reasonably local to Longcross, marshalled there many times.....
caprinerd Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 might be able to get a capper fred if your willing to pay petrol from norfolk babes Might be a bit far mate, I am awaiting the arrival of a laser meself! More bout that later..... not a prob babes, im down london for a couple of days as from tomorrow will see whats about with mates down there and see if there`s anything you could use
FredTransit Posted April 10, 2010 Author Report Posted April 10, 2010 Now has a website, again still early days. Trying to get a producer interested, also might get some proper funding so won't have to ask for stuff for nothing! http://demon-barber.co.uk Any thoughts?
Savvi Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 Do we need to add our cars to the website or do they do that ? This ones now up & running, slight dent on the n/s door but don't show up much. You would have to fit false plates as mines a "86, but these came out in "83. It needs to earn some money if you have anything for it
FredTransit Posted April 11, 2010 Author Report Posted April 11, 2010 You can register and upload cars. There's also a forum for ideas and feedback.......
dean307e Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 yeah wouldnt mind gettin the thames or transit recovery on there
FredTransit Posted April 12, 2010 Author Report Posted April 12, 2010 Thames? Would be interested in seeing that. Is it modified?

Admin Mk2Jo Posted April 22, 2010 Admin Report Posted April 22, 2010 I have been to the location a number of times for Sprints and my dad worked there for 25 years before they closed the testing area ... nice road set up in there
Noodles Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Shame mines modded but sarahs ikle fezza is standard
FredTransit Posted April 22, 2010 Author Report Posted April 22, 2010 Yep, a fez would be nice, I haven't got anything small on the books at the mo. Sign up!
FredTransit Posted April 28, 2010 Author Report Posted April 28, 2010 Oh Arse. Longcross are booked up till February, with Disney and Warners fighting over the last available corner . Can anybody suggest any likely locations? Within the M25 is favourite, Greater London or Herts too. We are thinking quiet streets Industrial estates Housing estates All pre 1980s Plan B of desperation is to do it in true Sweeney style, wait till nobody is looking/coming and go for it!
l j shaw Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Why not look at all the closed down military bases, i know they have a few that have closed.
FredTransit Posted April 28, 2010 Author Report Posted April 28, 2010 That's what Longcross is! But you have a point, I know Quinetiq (who run ex MOD Longcross) have other sites. Wonder if there is anything on 28 days later ?
l j shaw Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Lots more than longcross, you could even contact defence land agency, you may even get a list of areas you can book and use.
emu Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Im sure you already know about it, but the MOD have a website of places that are available for filming locations http://www.films.mod.uk/south_east/thorney_2.htm

FredTransit Posted April 29, 2010 Author Report Posted April 29, 2010 id be up for this as long as its a weekend really, my car is standard apart from wheels and its lowered I like your Mk1, sign it up here - www.demon-barber.co.uk Im sure you already know about it, but the MOD have a website of places that are available for filming locations http://www.films.mod.uk/south_east/thorney_2.htm Thanks for the link! I will follow that up. Only thing is, looks like the MOD want you to have £5Mil's worth of insurance, which is more than we wanted to get.
