Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 does that mean i will have to get the nurses outfit out it means youre bloody lucky to still have a boyfriend use axle stands
Smudger105e Posted March 23, 2010 Author Report Posted March 23, 2010 He has learned his lesson, had it on a jack which rolled over. It was lucky his mate and I were here to lift the car off him, as he was trapped underneath, with the car crushing his chest and head. Those marks on his head are not from a blow from the car, more the pressure of it on his skull!! He will use axle stands from now on, and wants others on here to know how easy it is to have an accident if axle stands are not used. He is a lucky lucky boy. And about this nurses outfit Tash...

old skool estate Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 My dads best mate lost his life fixing his daughters car on a drive way! everyone take care! Be careful! May be there should be a sticky subject regarding safty????
Smudger105e Posted March 24, 2010 Author Report Posted March 24, 2010 http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg356.pdf I know it's boring, all this Health & Safety stuff, but I have had a look at the HSE website, and vehicles falling on people is a major cause of death and serious injury in this Country. Have a look at the top of page 2 of the pdf I have linked to. Having Baz stuck under the car and having to lift it off him has really bought it home to me more than ever before, and a few simple precautions would have prevented this incident happening. I implore you all to a) read the above document and take it on board when working on your cars and Don't be a numpty!!
