front drop sump pinto ?

is there a front drop sump availible for the pinto ?

 

 

im having silly thoughts

not that i no of, besides it proberbly would have to be modified to clear crossmember and/have a different oil pick up pipe

has been done before-chop the sump in arf and turn it around and weld it and modify the pick up = front drop sump

Or just fit a S50 M3 engine with a E34 sump and modded dipstick.

A little wiring and fitting golf M/C and servo and you have a 300bhp e30 with the possibilaty of 6 speed box

I,ve heard that the American pinto engines are front drop but I,ve never seen one. For my mk2 cortina I cut the sump about 1 inch from the mounting flange and fabricated my own sump. As far as cutting the bottom of and turning it around, the sump is a different width at each end so I dont think that would work easily. Fab,ing a sump is probably simpler.
