Jiffer Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 I'm fooked and I mean proper fooked. It's all starting to take its toll now, I've worked on a building site since I was 15 years old and in my day I could stick with the best of them and be out on the sauce every nite, but now its just get in food, bath and colapse in a chair with a can of cider, just to have some smart arse youngster at work rattling on about what time he got in that morning, all just a distance memory for me anyone got a time machine they can lend me and I'll show the little sods

stevepeanut Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 I feeling pretty fooked now. On my 9th year of fitting loft insulation, up and down stairs and ladders, crawling in tiny spaces that are too small to stand in. Working all day on my knees. Working 12 hours a day most days without even getting a break. Starting to feel it now
banarama Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 na you cant work those hours without a break mate/ it must be hot in the summer
stevepeanut Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 na you cant work those hours without a break mate/ it must be hot in the summer its ok this time of the year, I am not in the loft non stop, I get a rest inbetween each job, anything from 5 mins to 30 mins drive to the next house. But I dont get time to sit and take a lunch break When the summer comes it gets mental hot, I'll be back on normal 8 or 9 hour days
