Ste-V Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Yeah this one has plenty of work to go at haha.. Want it though as it's different, and cool as Yeah get some pics up
100e pard Posted April 18, 2010 Author Report Posted April 18, 2010 Looks alot worse than it is I hope. Had some sort of accident and poor repair as you can see. Got a new quarter for it just needs a new door and a fair bit of correction welding. Plans are to keep it the royal blue colour with a white roof on the compomotives. Oh and slamming it. Hope you like. Any more info on these would be appreciated too. All I know is that they are a mix up of MK1 and MK2 vans and estates just need to know which bits are which. Pard
Savvi Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Looks like the Nibus conversion from the side, same as the Mk1's. I loaded a bit of info in the Brochure section on here, i've had a few of them Mk1 & 2 and still have a Mk1 now. Would need to see more pics, might even be my old one, if so i fitted 2 new wings and welded up the inner wing panel etc, some 6 or 8 years ago !!! There's a mint looking Mk1 on ebay at the moment but now £3495 i think.
100e pard Posted April 18, 2010 Author Report Posted April 18, 2010 Its a 76 I think, SRL start of the plate. Ye I seen that one on ebay. Looks tidy Ill have a look through the bits youve uploaded, thanks Rob
Grizzley Dell Posted April 19, 2010 Report Posted April 19, 2010 ive got a mk1 nimbus. ive been seriously considering turning it back to a van which seems wrong some how. problem with them is there bloody heavy on the arse. so well thought out though. good luck with it.
Ste-V Posted April 19, 2010 Report Posted April 19, 2010 That looks a fun little project The one I'm hoping to get hold of needs probably a similar amount of work to that I would say.. Anyone got any idea of a rough value for one in that sort of condition? (Without the accident damage..) Hoping to give about £300 Cheers, look forward to seeing it done mate
Savvi Posted April 19, 2010 Report Posted April 19, 2010 There was one for sale on Turbosport for £650 needed some welding and the front had been damaged.
100e pard Posted April 20, 2010 Author Report Posted April 20, 2010 Is it right that the doors on these are the same as mk1 escort 2 doors? Passenger door is bent as you like and needs replacing. Pard
Savvi Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Same as 2 door and the mk 2 Van & Estate's except the door handles inside and exterior lock is bigger
