Posse Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 why the fook are they shut on a Saturday? The only time a lot of people get time off to go and get parts for the projects SO burton's nicked my money instead yesterday.
Wessie Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 rally design didnt send all my bits out on thursday so my other bits turned up yesterday
antz Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 order online i alwasy found burtons to be more expensive than most places..or is it just me?
young un Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 probably but is there stuff better than any body elses steve
Wessie Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 i choose rally design cos of the price but if ur desperate for something you'll always pay more !
Mark2Mark Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 They are more expensive than most but they are a good company. like most of them though they mostly sell other peoples parts so no real reason for them being dearer
Posse Posted January 7, 2007 Author Report Posted January 7, 2007 burton's was great your made to feel very welcome and they open Saturdays. i'm not inpatient but if i want something i want it that day not fook about on mail order and rely on it turning up when you want it.
Pipster007 Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Most of the stuff you buy from Burtons, comes from Rally Design anyway. But anyway, all car parts places should by law stay open all day anyway
Capri_Steve Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 I swear i've driven down the road to RD on a saturday before
Twinkle Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Most of the stuff you buy from Burtons, comes from Rally Design anyway. But anyway, all car parts places should by law stay open all day anyway a lot of burton stuff uses the RD part numbers makes me laugh when they say get it from burtons its better made than rallt design stuff
johnny_h Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 I really rate Burton's service. Can't praise them enough apart from the old witch out the back whoever that is...
deluxe Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 I used to mail order from burtons a few years ago, but gave up coz they never answered emails, did not ask me whether I would like to wait or cancel when they did not have parts of my order in stock +++ Think it is to keep the prices low Rally Design do their business in a shed and close on saturdays
pelvins Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 ive not had no worries with rally design been good to me but they are local to me so i used them
X-pack-Glyn Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 never had a prob with burtons, use em for everything now, correct parts on the dorstep 7am the next working day, cant argue with that.
Ratters Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 never had a prob with burtons, use em for everything now, correct parts on the dorstep 7am the next working day, cant argue with that. Same here. I last used RD a few years back when I waited about 5-6 weeks for some 2" lowered springs, Mintex pads & Goodridge hoses
Fiesta Steve Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Rally Design being shut on a Saturday is a pain in the aRSe. So I mail order anything I need, but they have cocked the orders up before sending wrong stuff out etc.. But Burtons have fooked up orders too. I ordered a set of plugs a short while ago and the sent me out a set of odd plugs I also know someone who makes stuff for R/D and Burtons sell very very similar stuff (but its more expensive)
fezza Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Rally Design being shut on a Saturday is a pain in the aRSe. Apart from when i collect stuff for you steve The Depot i work from is in Faversham so it dont bother me that it dont open weekends i can just collect it when needed

Daggle Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Why can't I get a Burton's rocker cover for a 1600 x-flow, have they stopped making them, or did they never make them in the first place???
MightySprocket Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Why can't I get a Burton's rocker cover for a 1600 x-flow, have they stopped making them, or did they never make them in the first place??? They are in the latest catalogue, maybe they have stopped producing, I know that a couple years back they struggled with the supplier and second hand ones were worth more than gold!
