Classic Ford Mag ........ cfed (Steve Phillips - Ed) and GarethCF (Gareth - Dep Ed)

Retro Ford Mag ....... RFBen (Ben Birch - Ed) and Morley (Ben Morley - Dep Ed).

OSF - Posse (Darren- the top dog boss man & owner of OSF), Driver (Ian), Tim (Tim), BaileyMex (Colin), Tom (Tom) and MK2Jo (me - Jo) are all Admin.

The site was started in July 2004 following an idea by Posse ... and the original Admin were Posse, Driver, Tim, Tom, BaileyMex, Morley, Ad (apologies if I have missed someone).

None of the Admin have any affiliation with and of the Mags.

Classic Ford and Retro Ford are in direct competition with each other and therefore, on occasion, the banter gets a little fiery

Hope that helps :D

To be 100% accurate, OSF was born from an idea of Darren, with the support of Myself, Driver (Ian), Ad and Cor. We got a lot of grief for wanting to keep things old skool. So we started OSF. Without Darren none of this would be here, he was the one that said "I'm gonna start a website" and he did exactly that. Bob Mk1 has been about from the start of things being at the very first Boxhill meet when there was only five of us. Danielson was also the one that prompted me to make up a batch of "old skool ford... you know that" stickers prior to the first classic ford show in 2004. I hold that first year very dearly in my heart. I had the most fun that year and it helped me to forget the worse than crap home life that i had.

At first OSF was very hard work, we had to really fight to get this site up and running. At the time people didn't believe that the site would take off. We had to really promote our Boxhill meet, including having meets with the police and all sorts. But we stuck with it.

Tim has always been mad for a bit of old skool so it wasn't long before he was brought on board to help out. Next in was Micky D who was welcoming new members to the site via PM. Then i believe Baileymex turned up, i think if memory serves me correctly, we met him at the Dorking train station meet. Then ol' Tommy H came along the chirpy bundle of love that he is. As the site grew, as did the hard work, which was when Jo was brought in to help Darren with all the administrative stuff. When Retro Ford was concieved, I was offered the job, and like anyone would have, i grabbed it with both hands. I'm now doing a job involving something that i am truly passionate about. Sadly this meant that I had to leave OSF as an Admin. I didn't want to leave as OSF means a lot more to me than perhaps anyone on here will understand. But for one reason or another, i hung up my admin socks. Some people felt that the site had become affiliated with Retro Ford magazine - which as Jo made no hesitation in pointing out, it isnt, never has been. We as a mag write a lot about what you guys get upto because A: Both Ben B and Myself believe in what this site does for the world of old Fords, B: Just take a look in the meets section, you lot are mad for it. It makes me sad that i'm no longer part of the OSF team any more, but thats life! I know how passionate Darren is about this website and so have no doubt that it will continue to grow.

The whole story is hardback novel material, but i think thats pretty much the outline of things.

was it the first or second one I came too with Andy Pipes car and Dave Whites car ???

think it was Pre-OSF ????

I do believe Andy Pipes car ended up with a sticker, albeit very briefly. It was that one Gary. Nick Williams had that really clean silver Mk1 with bubbles and 10" rims... and an 1100cc x-flow under the bonnet. It was prior to the birth and even the incarnation of OSF. It was Retro Cars when we actually got a bit serious about the idea. :D

i thought marty and bob mk1 and darren were like all close mates who lived near each other, and sort of went from there and daren got help from tim, morley etc
