I see people speeding through these things at road works all the time and wonder how they think they're going to get away with it. Me I crawl through at the prescribed limit. Love them or hate them, average cameras are far more effective at reducing speeds over a distance than fixed gatso cameras.

I suppose at the end of the day, the signs are up to say quite clearly the speed limit restriction on the specified area, there are plenty of warnings along each stretch of road to show that your speed is being monitored along that stretch by those cameras and I guess you should speed at your own peril really .. but then you already know that :lol::lol::lol::lol: Doesn't really matter if we like them or not or if we find them a hassle ... rules is rules :ykt:

I guess if you believe you were just a couple of miles an hour over the limit you could ask to see the records

Can never understand how my mph speed (on the Bemer) is often a lot slower than some of the cars going past... :?

Those with sat nav drive faster if they go by the speed on the screen as its more accurate than any car speedo, they naturally over read.

So when you are doing 70mph your probably really only doing 65.

If I'm in the mood to stick to the speed limit I'll drive at 75 mph on the sat nav, you won't get done for going 5 over. My real 75 would be about 80 on most cars speedo.

So I go 15 mph faster than those sticking to the speed limit and still don't get a ticket. I've been caught for a lot of things, but not speeding

yep, i get my sat nav bang on the speed then hit the cruise button... trouble is lesser mortals in front tend to slow us beemer drivers down, then the whole process of resetting the cruise needs doing again. untill you get to the next mere mortal.....

I sit with my sat nav bang on 50 mph and go just faster than most other stuff on the road

The HGV drivers must know some tricks, seen a lot of them driving flat out through the 50 zones and weaving from lane to lane
