mk1cossydan Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 Hi everyone i got given a complete Cossy bottomend of a mate but i had a qwick look at it and coudnt see 205 on it or 200 ? where would i be able to find out its got the engine numbers and 2.0 on the block but it does neeed cleaning as its got alot of sh** on it Thanks for any help
Admin Vista Posted May 26, 2010 Admin Report Posted May 26, 2010 If it says 2.0 on the side of the block in big letters then it's not a cosworth bottom end. It's an early pinto block that may (or may not) have had cosworth internals such as crank and rods etc added to it.
sambo Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 Count the amount of flywheel bolts there are on the crank. 9 = YB crank 6 = Pinto crank. Good luck
mk1cossydan Posted May 26, 2010 Author Report Posted May 26, 2010 ok mate ill check tomorow thanks for the info tho
