Cossy qwestion 205/200

Hi everyone i got given a complete Cossy bottomend of a mate but i had a qwick look at it and coudnt see 205 on it or 200 ? where would i be able to find out its got the engine numbers and 2.0 on the block but it does neeed cleaning as its got alot of sh** on it

If it says 2.0 on the side of the block in big letters then it's not a cosworth bottom end. It's an early pinto block that may (or may not) have had cosworth internals such as crank and rods etc added to it.

Count the amount of flywheel bolts there are on the crank.

 

9 = YB crank

 

6 = Pinto crank.

it only sez it qwite little at the bottom 2.0

deffo not cossie. cossie 205 blocks also have ybb....... with a load of numbers after it above the waterpump
