oliwally Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 A bit of a list here so sorry about it lol. Do Mk2 escort pedal boxes fit the Mk1's? What are the advantages of eccentric mounts over concentric or roller bearing mounts? are they worth the extra money Wheres a good place to get adjustable TCA's from, that dont cost the earth or look like they've been made by a drunk pole wearing a pirates eye patch trying to chase the dragon. Where can i get a twin cam antiroll bar from, seen some on net for over £200!! and finally anti tramp bars? i know there are 2 types, straight and angled, but will one fit both? i have a mk1 2dr but not been under to see what type of shocks it has fitted. cheers Oli
over_head_cam Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Do Mk2 escort pedal boxes fit the Mk1's? Can't remember But normally you can get most things to fit most cars What are the advantages of eccentric mounts over concentric or roller bearing mounts? are they worth the extra money They allow you to fine tune the caster and KPI which can be useful on heavily modified setups. But a road car probably not Wheres a good place to get adjustable TCA's from, that dont cost the earth or look like they've been made by a drunk pole wearing a pirates eye patch trying to chase the dragon. Not sure. have you tried the usual suspects, PLR, Rally design, burtons etc.? Where can i get a twin cam antiroll bar from, seen some on net for over £200!! Try Escort-Tec or GS Escorts. I'm sure West wales rally does them. and finally anti tramp bars? i know there are 2 types, straight and angled, but will one fit both? i have a mk1 2dr but not been under to see what type of shocks it has fitted. Not sure if there is one type that fits both. get a look under and get the right one ;)
Admin Vista Posted May 27, 2010 Admin Report Posted May 27, 2010 Tramp bar types you need one or the other, they aren't interchangeable Twin cam anti roll bar from GS Escorts http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/escort-mk1-twin-c ... 500wt_1154 Have a peek at some of Gary's messages about twin cam anti roll bars before fitting one though.
